Inle Lake Day 309: Boat Trip

La Sonja ja es troba be aixi que agafem la barca i creuem el llac fins a un mercat i pagodes a l'altre banda!! Se'n riuen de mi doncs no vaig tant abrigat com ells, pero despres seré jo qui riure un cop el sol es alt!! Passem el mati visitant pagodes i botigues d'artesania (turístiques pero al menys tens la sensació que hi treballen)!! La millor part per mi es navegar pels canals i pel llac i veue la vida del llac, veure els pescadors com pesquen, els horts flotants que tenen (el llac produeix el 80% dels tomàquets que es consumeixen a Myanmar). Dinem on vaig fer la cervesa ahir un bon peix a la brasa i unes amanides de tomàquet i alvocat EXQUISIT!!! 

Sonja is feeling good so we get the boat and croos the lake to a market and pagoda in the other side!! They make fun of me as I'm not covered as they are, but I'll be the one laughing one the Suns is high!! We spend the morning visiting pagodas and craft shops (touristy but at least you see that they are working)!! The best is sailing through the canals and lakes and seeing the life of the lake, the fisherman fish, floating gardens (the lake produces 80% of the consumed tomatoes in Myanmar). We lunch where I had the beer yesterday some grilled fish and tomato and avocado salad AMAZING!!! 

Inle Lake Day 308: This boat has wheels

La Sonja s'ha trobat malament aquesta nit aixi que hem suspès l'excursió amb vaixell d'avui (ho hem deixat per dema esperant que es trobi millor). Aixi doncs que canvi de plans i m'he llogat una bici per donar la volta al llac (la volta no es pot donar ja que no està permès tot al voltant turistes sols, pero fas un quart de volta, creues amb vaixell i tornes l'últim quart)!! Primera parada del cami unes vinyes on faig una cata de vins per 2 dòlars amb una vista espectacular, despres parada a la carretera per dinar i just dinat em creuo amb dues noies franceses (Virginie i Delphine) que ens vam creuar a l'autobús de Mandalay a Kalaw que van a dinar i faig una cervesa amb elles (aixi eviti la calor del migdia) en un lloc espectacular!! La Virginie porta 9 mesos viatjant i ens expliquem mil una anècdotes!!! Havent dinat vaig a un monestir a l'alçada per veure les vistes i els monjos fan broma per saber quina vista venim a veure els turistes, si la del llac o la del Budha!!! Al final se'm fa tan tard que no creuo el llac sinó que torno enrera i veig la posta de sol!!! 

Sonja was not feeling too good last night so we decided to leave the boat trip for tomorrow hoping she'll feel better. So change of plans and I rent a bike to go aprons the lake (you can't go all the way around as it's not aloud for tourists, but you do one quarter, take a boat and come back through the other quarter)!! First stop in a wineyard where I try some wines for 2 dollars with splendid views, after stop on the road for lunch and right after that I run into two french girls (Virginie and Delphine) whom I met on the bus from Mandalay to Kalaw who are going for lunch and I Joni for a beer (to avoid midday heat) to a place with spectacular views!!! Virginie has been traveling for 9 months and we tell each other many stories!!! After lunch I go to a monastery on the mountain for some views and the monks make fun to know which view we come to see the tourists, the lake or the Budha!!! At the end it's late and I don't croos over so I go back to see the sunset!!!

Inle Lake Day 307: Discovering Naungshwe

Despres d'un bon trek toca relax!! Avui dia per passejar per Naungshwe (poble on la majoria d'albergs estan a Inle Lake). Bona dormida (tot i que sempre els primers dies despres de trek em segueixo llevant d'hora degut a la costum) i bona migdiada!! Ens anem creuant pel poble amb la gent del trek i dema farem excursió en barca amb la Sonja i el J.P. (la parella suís-alemana)!! Mati al mercat, sempre que veig un mercat em sento un guiri a la boqueria!! Els peixos de la foto deu ni do com es movien encara!!! Mig mati de te i sopa shan (boníssima amb moltes especies)!! Tarda de migdiada i ganso!! Vespre de sopar!!

After a good trek it is time to relax!! Today walking around Naungshwe (town where the most accommodations are in Inle Lake). Good sleep (although after a trek the first days I keep waking up early) and good nap!!! We keep running into people from the trek in town and tomorrow we will do a boat trip with Sonja and J.P. (the swiss-german couple)!! Morning in the market, whenever I see a market I feel like tourist in the boqueria!!! The fish in the picture were still moving!! Midday of tea and Shan soup (exquisite with a lot of spices)!! Afternoon of napping and not doing much!! Evening of dinner!!
