postdoc India: Tanjung Puting National Park Days 218-220: Cruising to see our family members the oranguntans!!

No hi ha masses paraules per descriure l'experiencia d'aquests dies, mes que impressionant!! La veritat que tot i car m'ha agradat molt haver fet aquests dies al parc nacional!! I recomano a tothom que passi per la zona que hi vingui!! En un barquet ben maco amb unes tombones i una hamaca, navegant pels canals del parc natural, veient orangutans salvatges, micos de tota mena, ocells i llangardaixos gegants nedant (no hem tingut la sort de veure cocodrils pero n'hi ha)!! El vaixell idil.lic, organitzat genial per l'Adi (que vaig conèixer al port buscant vaixell) i amb la companyia del Pierre i el Jean (dos nois suïssos que em vaig trobar pel carrer buscant companyia per fer el creuer!!!). La joia de la corona es quan pares als camps on donen de menjar als orangutans (espècie reintroduïda a la selva)!!! Els veus com s'acosten als plàtans deixats per els "rangers" i com venen un per un per torns a menjar, el mes fort primer (normalment el mascle) i despres les femelles també per ordre de força i edat. Les veus a les branques properes esperant a que una acabi de menjar per poder anar ella (amb les seves cries). La ultima li queda gaudir de les pells que han deixat i les xarrupa fins que no queda res!!! La segona nit, trek de nit on veiem una Tarantula (no em dona temps a fer la foto doncs el guia l'espanta amb el seu flaix), granotes, rat-penats, etc. El Jean estudia cinema i s'ha portat amb ell un micro de cine per gravar sons, molt xula l'experiencia de seure i escoltar (mentre ell enregistra) el silenci!! Te n'adones del xibarri que hi ha a la selva quan et pares a escoltar-lo!! Dies de luxe doncs al vaixell hi ha tassa de Water i dutxa (fa dies que vaig a forat al terra i cubell d'aigua)!!! La majoria de gent fa el creuer el parella i organitzat des de casa, per això costa trobar gent que el vulgui fer amb tu com a solo traveler!! La veritat es que he tingut sort!! Al vespre et monten el llit amb unes mosquiteres i dorms sota els estels escoltant la jungla!! De tornada parem a un poblat que no te massa mes de si!! Menjar boníssim, tot genial, llàstima no tenir mes fotos d'animals salvatges ja que costava doncs el vaixell seguia navegant!! De tota manera uns dies molt ben gaudits!!!

Not many words to describe the experience of these says, more than amazing!! Frankly, although expensive I'm really glad to have done these days on hype national park!! And I recommend to everyone that comes close to the area to come here!! In a cute little ship with some chairs and a hammock, sailing through the canals of the jungle, seeing wild oragutans, monkeys, birds, swimming lizards (we haven't see crocodiles but their are)!! Ideal boat organized by Adi (I guy I met at the pier looking for a boat) and with Pierre and Jean (two swiss guys I met on the street looking for company for the ship). The Crown Jewels is whenever you stop at the feeding station and see the oranguntans (reintroduced species in the jungle)!! You see them come closer to get the bananas left by the rangers and how they come one by one, the strongest first (normally the male) and then the females also by order of strength and age. You see them in the branches near by waiting for the other one to stop eating to be able to go (with their babies). The poor last one gets to lick all the peel of the bananas left til there is nothing left!! The second night, night trek where we see a tarantula (the guide scares he off with her flaix so no picture), frogs, bats, etc. Jean studies filmmaking and brought from his school a microphone to record sounds, interesting experience sitting down while he records the silence!! You realize how loud the jungle can be when you stop and listen to it!!! Luxury days as in the ship there is an actual toilet and a shower (being using a whole and a bucket lately)!! Most of the people do the trip in couples and organized from back home so it's hard as a solo traveler to find people to do it with, I've been really lucky!!! At night they make you bed and pull some mosquito nets, and you sleeping looking at the stars and listening to the jungle!! On our way back we stop in a village not that interesting!! Amazing food, everything excelent, pity not to have more pictures of the wild animals, it was hard to get them as the boat kept sailing!! However some very well enjoyed days!!!

Aquest petita estava aprenent a caminar perque no s'allunyava mes de dos passes de la mare, i sempre queia de tornada!! Ens va tenir ben distrets!!

This little one was learning how to walk as he wouldn't go further than two steps from his mother, ans always falling on the way back!!! He entertained us for a while!!,
